I LOVE Paiste. Check out my yt site. It's got a couple of vids of me slapping some Paiste Sound Forumula discs. Unbelievable sounds. I love those cymbals. Have you tried the new Twenty Series? Sweet stuff.

Forgive my redundant repetition...but I feel a need to restate it here.

You guys are drummers who have a simple ethical alignment issue. That's all this is. It has surfaced and is being fueled by inner passions. Both of you are well respected on this forum. I sincerely love reading Jaye's posts. I know I will learn something pretty much every time. BB has also been there with some pretty cool info that I needed. I posted this in another thread. I am reposting it here because I believe it applies. Please don't take this any further. You guys will lose the respect you have earned. That would be tragic.

Soap Box

We are very different people where money and ethics are concerned. I believe that was pointed out clearly in that incredible thread "Theoretically speaking....." started by Jaye. (my gut tells me that was the purpose of that thread)

We will disagree. No doubts. If one mentions an ethical "speed bump" in one of these posts, another member will dispute that there is no wrongdoing. That's the way it works. We all have differing views. One's ethical boundaries may not align with another's. That's ok.

But, the problems arise when we become passionate about those boundaries. I have been guilty of that (more than once). In fact, I have been guilty of that with this particular user about said cymbals. I vehemently disagree with how this went down. I stated very passionately my stance. BUT...I realized how wrong I was in my words and I have apologized to this user and have been in communication with my FATHER about my failure.

I don't believe anyone has done anything wrong within these threads. We are an emotional lot. We are passionate. One man's limits are another man's midline. I will work on me knowing full well that I can't fix anyone else. I would definitely suggest we remember who and what we are. Be true to yourself. But...be aware that someone will step on you. It's going to happen. When it does...deal with it and get over it.

We are drummers on a forum that allows us to have incredible conversations about that which is near and dear to our hearts. We will fight and squabble. But in the end, we are still drummers talking about what we love.

Thank you for giving me your time. I love drums and I love talking about drums. I've learned so much in the short time I've been a part of this forum. I appreciate it and the members.

Ya I think we did.....but at least its off the original topic......kind of an un-needed and uncalled for thread, between this one and the for sale one and the original hypothetical one.....

No appologies required to me by the thread originator. Both parties were satisfied with the original transaction so where's the harm and foul? Once you own them, its your own business what you do with them. If you decide to resell, thats your business. Its called capitalism, so those of you against that, deal with it.

With that said, lets all go jam!

Here, here!

And donating has nothing to do with it........if you can afford to, then do so, if you can't........then donating your knowledge in posts should be enough!

Guys!!!!...

Of course I have been following/observing this thread as it has developed... ( as has our most esteemed host, the Webmaster ) ... we felt there was nothing so out of line as to pull the thread... until now that is. I think the "discussion" has run it's course with points being made on all sides... and for that matter I applaud the passion shown by all parties. Everybody will take something from this thread and interpret in their own way, which is of course fine! Everybody has THEIR OWN opinion, and most all the time those opinion's are shared in a polite and courteous way on this forum, which is just one of the GREAT things about our membership! So...

I am going to LOCK this thread, but leave it up for the time being as it did make for some excellent reading. Carry on men!! :-D
