Thank you to George LAwrence Of Not So Modern Drummer Magazine

I received a Personal Phone call yesterday from George Lawrence publisher and owner of Not So Modern Drummer Magazine. I had entered the Kieth Carlock contest, Kieth Used all of this equippment that was given away in the contest at an Ohio drum show, George Informed me of having won a Earthworks Sr 25 microphone. this is an over $600.00 dollar value! here's the link to the contest, but it is now over! http://www.notsomoderndrummer.com/contests/ George spent over 40 minutes with me on the phone we talked about the magazine's future and somethings he's got in store for us drummers and such in the near future, we are very lucky to have people like George and other's in this Industry!! I've found George to be a very ethical and fair man in his dealings. I had contacted him on a particular kit. There was another man doing the deal for George. It started to turn South, when George stepped in and ironed out all the miscues. I like the guy. We didn't end up doing business, but I wouldn't hesitate in future dealings. He proven himself to me. Great business practice.

BigE thanks, I also wanted to pass along that Not only is George Lawrence the drummer for Poco he's was also Kieth Carlocks drum teacher!!!

Ok, I received the Earthworks Sm25 microphone, I will get to fire it up this weekend, oh man I can't wait, the Earthworks comes in a plastic carrying case,microphone, mic clip, Large tee shirt thank heavens, and Instructional booklet and a killer sound demo CD comparing all the top of the line mics with the Earthworks mics. this is a high definition mic, I'm going to compare it to a Beta Sm57 that I have the Cd Earthworks provide didn't compare the beta system shure has so should be Interesting.the mic is so small and slim compared to my shure 57 and 58's, I so very Much Want to thank George Lawrence and Not SO Modern Drummer Magazine for this awesome mic, it will get used!
