Tape residue on Cymbals

Loading...

I picked up a 20" ride old Zildjian, and there are millions of stick marks and tape residue all over this thing! I don't ever clean my cymbals, but this has to have something, it is near to the point that I don't even want to play it, it looks so bad!

Any suggestions on what I can use to get the tape off? stick marks I can put up with, but tape marks on top and bottom...sorry.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

This will work, even when the residue has been on there for years?

If so, I will try it.

Yes. Cleanest way is to wet a paper towel with the stuff and leave it lay on the spot or a while, rather than just spray it. Less evaporation.

Lighter fluid will also work well.
