I came across this sad news regarding our beloved Steve B. that I thought I would share. Steve often shared his wisdom and generosity with us here on VDF and evidently on Drummerworld as well. A hell of a nice guy. My apologies for the downer or if this sad news has been discussed already.

Very sad news of Steve's Passing... Looks like it was mid July... Steve responded to my first ever post on this forum and I developed a great respect for his knowledge and advice. The picture is from a cousins FB page and was posted 21st July.. It is how she wished to remember him so I'm guessing taken a few years back..

RIP Steve...

I never really got to know Steve but, it certainly appears that that was my loss. When one of our own members passes, it is always tragic to the entire forum. My deepest sympathies.

Brian

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

this is very sad. i only knew Steve thru his posts and the PMs we shared. Steve was a sweetheart. I believe he commented on every thread i started, always helpful and respectful. Steveb is the one who introduced me to VDF, he sent me over here from that other site to find info about my Camco drums and ive been here every since. ive wondered where he may have been, i noticed he wasnt posting. i was hoping it was because he was caught up in life and its many ventures and just having a hard time finding time to post. You will be missed Steveb R.I.P my friend.

Stay Wiggly,
Robyn

Steve was a good friend both on and off the boards. I'm deeply saddened to hear that he's gone. R.I.P. Steve.
