Tama/Camco Shell Design/wood

Loading...

Wondering if anyone can provide a picture of the inside of a L.A. Camco set or help me with the type of shells that Camco used when Tama made the drums. I have a set I bought and the shells look to be maple. Just wondering if the Tama/Camco drums had rerings.

Thanks in Advance

LA Camco were using very thin 6 ply shells at the end with so little lacquer on them they actually appear to be untreated. They are also radically under-sized compared to most drums of the time. I've got a floor tom at home I can photograph when I have a minute.

And they still had glue rings.
