Hi. I just read where someone is saying that the vintage Tama Superstar 'Aquamarine' finish is a wrap and not a laquered finish. I've never heard this, I always thought they were stained green and laquered. Does anyone know the truth? Thanks.

Aquamarine was most definitely a lacquer. You can see the wood grain through the paint. Tama Aquamarine

Absolutely was a lacquer finish....close look at the shell shows that the wood grain shows through just like their Cherry Wine finish.

Keep on Pl Thanks guys, that's exactly what I thought. I have a Candy Apple Red Superstar kit but I sure would like to have it in Aquamarine.
