Superstars never had reinforcing rings...Imperialstars did, however.

I apologize for my last post....I just saw a catalog scan from 1976, and apparently they did have re-rings. The ones I had in early 80's didn't.

I believe the Superstars with re-rings were late 70;s, but I can't pin down the years specifically.

If you are open to Imperialstar drums with re-rings I have some for sale, but they are not in the finish you are looking for:
