Tama Snares

Loading...

Hi all:

I have a small collection of Tama snares I thought the Tama fans here might like. I am still searching for the 11 lugger & Superstar with the inlay. Everytime I find one, I just had spent all my cash on something else. It's a slideshow, it will advance to the next pic every few seconds or you can jump ahead.

Anyways, here they are: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tama_drums/sets/72157619892907782/show/

There is a Super Star on C/L somewhere for 200, I think in Arkansas, or maybe Wichita Falls TX...I saw it recently. Search all of CraigsList and see if you find it.

Nice collection!

Here's one you don't have. This is an early Star, from sometime between 66 and 72, no telling, but in immaculate condition.

Mine is the 8256 "Professional", catalog seen here:

The stand is from sometime between 68 and 71 as the 72 model had been redesigned ever so slightly. It is in almost perfect condition as well.

Awesome snare you have. The chrome looks immaculate. There are several I'd like to have. The Imperialstar with the CL strainer lever. Everytime I get thinking about getting another one, something happens to my cash.

Thanks for the earlier tip in Arkansas Jonnistix.

He has sold it, but I appreciate the tip just the same.

You're a great member for helping me like this.

My acrylic is a Royal star and has the exact same lugs as yours does as well as the throw-off.

Your snare is a really great example. I think it is a bit rare, AND it is in such perfect shape.

Sometimes I find an old Star, royal, imperialstar in great condition, but someone has removed the muffler. You can find em on Ebay, but it makes getting the thing back up to snuff harder.

I have some old Imperialstar parts in case anyone here is having a hard time finding a part to complete that gem they just bought.

I don't have a lot of stuff, but as hard as it is to find parts sometimes, I would be glad to help someone out here.

Cheers, Dave
