Hope you find the parts for your early King Beat. I had the later version. I really like the King Beat!

Hello Julien,

Funny - last week I bought a Star King Beat snare drum, in which one of those plastic parts is broken (and repaired with a metal bar).

I'm really considering to make a replica on my own from a bigger piece of plastic. If I'm correct it should be either PP or PA.

And if I really do that, I just can also do two ... I'll let you know (but give me 3 - 4 weeks time, please).

What do you mean with 'support'? The other side of that metal piece?

Cheers, Ralf

Good solution.

PA will be more preferable.

From Father-42

Good solution.PA will be more preferable.

May I ask why? I intended to start some investigations soon (which type was avaliable in the early 70's? Which one would be the more suitable? Which was most probably the type Star/ Tama may have been used?) - but if you know better, this would be fine.

Do you have experience (and their characteristics in regards of workmanship) with these plastics?

Cheers, Ralf
