The King Beat snare drums also have seamless shells. These are wonderful, underrated, snare drums! It is also my understanding that the lugs are prone to breakage. Personally, I've never encountered this issue. Attached are pictures of my King Beat, completely original except for the batter head! Check out the picture with all the parts removed for cleaning. All the lugs have their original foam inserts!

Definitely underrated snare drums. Mark your snare looks like new, awesome job! All I did to my snares is take a cloth and get all the dust out but never really polished them. They still look good though but at some point I will polish all of them, I have 7 of them I think (I lost count, lol). I own King Beats from Star era to the last Tama version in most sizes. I couldn't be happier with them.

Guys I *SO* need kingbeat strainer parts to finish my project snare. Mark, your picture of the teardown box is makin me cry. Need the throw lever, one of the little chrome cams, and both metal tab mechanisms that connect the cams to the vertical slides (on the right in your picture).

Can anyone help me out?

Thx

I just got all of those parts for mine from a guy over at dfo. I have some extra parts now but only the parts that Mount to the shell, and one of the parts that actually slides up and down which the snare wires attach to.

I only spent two weeks looking and found what I needed.. Don't give up!

@Levelpebble,

This could be a start:

I don't recall if these are original or from a MIJ kingbeat copy. But from my memory, parts of original / MIJ copies didn't differ, except for the snare mechanism crossbar diameter.

I can "offer" you these at shipping costs from the Netherlands.

Perhaps it's wise to check the dimensions first.

Here's the king beat all put back together... The chrome is all still in nice shape and it sounds pretty good
