Tama guys? Please help

Loading...

I have the ability to score this Tama Imperialstar snare drum for a decent price. I noticed that the throw off hardware does not necessarily match any of the pictures from catalogs or from ebay listings. The muffle has been removed. I have attached a couple of pics. Has this been modified? If so, in what way.

Thanks,

vern

The throw-off looks correct for 81-83 era imperialstar (later years wouldn't have the internal muffler). Not a mastercraft, as no roller bearings below the throw nnd butt. The butt looks suspect as a replacement, but it's hard to tell from the angle shown. Look up the archive catalogues on the tama forum site to be sure.

I stand corrected (by myself) - 1981 Tama Powerline snare seems to show your buttplate. Page 29 in the catalog.

Does $70 with shipping sound reasonable?
