Doubt that anyone will need to deal with the (exact) makeover of these hoops as I.. But they are paintable, can be cleaned with solvent, but won't stand for any heat gun application even low temp.

I purchased two of these 16x22 for a rehearsal kit that I am putting together. Both of the front hoops had been 1/ painted white then 2/ painted black and then 3/ 50mm long artificial foxtail furs had been glued the full circumference of each.

I started with Steel wool & detergent, but eventually had to use some turpentine & finally Lacquer thinners. Finally 2 coats of spray enamel got them back to almost original appearance..

The hoops fitted are the 2 original batters..
