Syndrum Kit, and other bits

Loading...

Hi All, my first post on here,,, and stranger still as I'm actually a Bass player!

I've picked up a few bits of drum stuff from the estate of an old pal of mine. Amongst all of it I found an old trunk with what looks to be a complete Syndrum Quad set up. Needless to say as a bass player I have no idea who might be interested in something like this and what it might be worth,,, hence me joining this forum.

Looks like there's a couple of double chain kick pedals, one of them a sonar, there's a Wave Drum Oriental, an old Acoustic Percussion Trigger, I think something call a drumulator, quite a few new skins, some studio rack drum stuff,,, plus some other studio rack bits and bobs, synths, a MOTU 8pre,,,

If anyone here knows anything about Syndrums please let me know.

As I get organised and get the room full of kit catalogued I'll be bunging it up on eBay. If any of you would like a heads up on anything drum related or otherwise please let me know.

Cheers

Chaz

The best thing to do would be to put them on display and take a pic,..then we`ll see what you got !! Condition matters.

The Sig. kicker is fine for all types of drumming !! Sonor geeks claim it`s over designed !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Hi OddBall et al

Finally got some time to take a look at the Syndrums properly. Wish I could say was all pristine but I can't, but it appears to be all there minus a stand to put them on. Hopefully someone will correct me if it's missing a doodah and a thingy for the watsit receiver...

The controller is a Quad and has seen better days. Lots of the coloured nobs are missing, and on channel one the pedal on of switch and the snare on/1/2 switch is missing (see pic). this might also explain why channel one is not responding as it should. Compared to the other channels that blew me away with the weird and wonderful noises they were making, channel one only provided a quiet/distant snare. I swapped cables to make sure it wasn't the drum, it wasn't. The whole board is very dusty inside and could do with a bucket of switch cleaner. Most if not all the sliders and switches make a noise when they are adjusted and can't be called "smooth" by anyone's standards.

The pedal comes with it's original stereo lead and works fine.

The drums are all working and either were a sandy yellow from new or have discoloured over the last 35 years,,, they work and they seem to be intact with no damage, just ware and tear and a bit of dust.

Original 4 x 1/4inc jack to XLR lead is there and works fine.

Everything could do with a darn good clean!!!

For my next trick I shall try to attach the pics I just took,,,, drum roll please (sorry, couldn't help it, bass player humour)
