Suspect K stamp

Loading...

Hi Guys,

What do you think of this one?

Is it just a bad stamp that came from the factory...maybe an apprentice given the stamp and hammer to early and stuffed it up a bit or is it an attempt of fraud?

The cymbal looks pretty good, but the stamp mmmmmm, don't know.

The stamping is a little screwed up, but its perfectly genuine.

Just beware of recently discovered crates of perfect looking NOS "K's" from Istanbul.

Hey Bill,

So what is it?. It was hard to make some of it out, but the text portion and what I could make out from the script gave me th impression it might be a Type IIa old stamp. This was based mostly on the size of the letter K, the spacing of the text, the smaller Zildjian at the bottom and the somewhat larger letters in Istanbul. What's your take?

Most K's have 8 factory rivet holes,so I think the rivets are after market................

Everything I know about old K's I got from you. I'm just following your old timeline that I acquired from that 'other' cymbal site.
