So I have found another kit, but I am looking for some opinions. I have attached some pics. Sorry about the quality, they are from the ad she has. There is no snare, or stand. Pretty much everything you see, is what you get. She is asking $200. Worth it?????

Yeah, 3 ply shells, no bottoms, wrap removed, at the very most 75..at the most. She is way high. No matter how much work she has in them, they are incomplete and just not all that rare of a kit. The only thing they have going for them is the fact they are 3 ply.

Yeah. She actually contacted me first before she up the ad. I offered her $75, but she did not accept, and then put up the ad on our local kijiji. I don't think she really understands what she has, just a set of drums to her, like CB, or Westbury. I had never heard of Supreme though, and I actually thought that stain may have been the factory finish. Thanks for the :2Cents:

Dont let our opinion of this deal sour you about the drums. Its just that there are a few experts about MIJ gear and they know best. Its your decision though. If you want them try 100...let us know.Walking

Does the cymbal in the back (hardly to be seen in the left pic) belong to this 'deal'?

That could be a treasure (although the set itself doesn't suggest that).

NB: I second the opinion of the pre-posters.

The grain pattern is just beautifull on these, plus it look like it's run with the circomference of the shells? (mostly on the b.d.and the f.t) Is it luan?It look more like birch to me,but it's pretti hard to tell from the pictures, and im not an expert, and those lugs?I gess they must have made different version, like the early and latter model as well as the badge? Again i'm not an expert, just an up north citizen who never really had informations on vintage drums until i found this forum. Thanks again!

After another look, that may very well be the actual finish on the drums. That doesn't really look like a lauan shell on the exterior. Still, I think 200bones is too high. If you think 100 is acceptable to her, and you can live with it, that may be a good deal. I mean, let's be real, they are 3 ply, and will be cannon like.

Well, ask her about them. If they are, and you go have a look at them to determine what you are getting in total, it could be worth it then. I mean, what if they are some really nice pies there? At l;east if she is relatively close, you can look at them to find out of they are included. There could be a couple hundred, or more, in cymbals.
