Hey y'all,
A few questions:
1) Did keystone badge Supras ever have P85s on them?
2) Would a modern throw-off on a 60s or 70s Supra make you hesitant to buy it for no longer being original? I was thinking about replacing the P85 on my B/O Supra with a modern version of it, but I think I also may down the line sell it and wanted to know if it'll really negatively affect the price.

Many of the '69 Supras and Acrolites came with the 12 hole black face P85 strainer. As a collector, I always prefer originality. But there were tons of Supras made. And they were made to play! An upgraded strainer that fits the same mounting holes would not be a big issue to most, and a plus to some!

Thanks Mike! Now the question is do I go a new 85, old 85, or go with the new 88?
Edit: I said until I looked at P88 prices. 85 it is!
+1 with what Mike said! I just upgraded a custom snare drum from a P85 to a P88. The P88, with butt, can be had for around $40 with free shipping. I really like the new P88. I'll post some pictures when I get home!

Don't forget to consider the P-86 ( I assume it's still available). Bolt on parts that don't require any drilling do not seem to be a big issue for most. Sure it's nice to have the originals but functionality is important too and as long as it can easily be undone there shouldn't be too much to fear.
