Supra snare wires

I have a 66 Supra that does not have the original wires. I do have wires that came with an Acro (plastic ends). Are the older original metal ends that much different ? What about new Puresound replacements.

Thanks for any advice.

It may be heresy, but I've always had great luck with

plain old Duplex or Gibraltar wires...

So many drums over the years with new heads and the original

wires hanging like festoons, this IMHO is an integral part of

any drum coming back to life.

Puresound and Grover are very nice, but expensive.

Cheers!

I actually like the plastic end wires, providing the ends still lay flat. But no, I've personally not found much of a difference.
