That should be a very late 70's/early 80's drum. It appears to be in great shape as well.Mike
+1 with Mike. Looking through my Ludwig pictures, I found a 1980 Ludwig Buddy Rich kit, all drums with serial numbers 212xxxx. However, another BR kit, also advertised as a 1980, has serial numbers with 192xxxx. So, the 212xxxx numbers have to be much further into the 80's. The serial number of the eBay drum appears to be 216xxxx, putting it also in 1980's. I think we can agree that the drum is not from the 70's.
I see some non-original tension rods, along with the white nylon washers. The P-85 strainer has a bent handle and modified gate with two screws. My guess is that there is a metal clamping plate behind to hold either cord or tape.
Still, it is a very clean 400 and easily worth the opening bid.
