Supra confirmation

Loading...

I never really paid attention to my snare. So I took a close look at it, did a little research on the net and if I'm reading it right I believe I may have an LM 400 Supraphonic. It's 5 x 14, 10 lugs, has a blue circular sticker inside that says that the finish is anti galvanic LudaLoy with an outer chrome finish.

The strainer simply says Ludwig. (I noticed that one wire is missing. Where can I get a replacement?)

Figured somebody on this forum could set me straight.

Pictures below.

Thanks.

It's a Supra. Looks like it's in really nice condition. I'd give it a thorough cleaning with Mothers Chrome Polish and not worry about the missing snare wire.

If it has a blue circular sticker inside as you told, it is 70's Supra to me.

If you want Ludwig snare wires, get one at Steve Weisse Music.

Hey thanks for the confirmation.

Yes a thorough tear down, polishing and some rusty headed screw replacement is coming up. Can't really clean it right unless it's apart. Too many obstacles.

Cheers!
