anybody know anything about these? It appears as though they were made for sears, just picked one up on ebay for about 100, has the original calf and slunk heads so I figured it would be a good purchase.

For sale: Sears ad for Supertone..
Most likely made by Leedy or Ludwig for Sears. The shell in the auction looks like a Ludwig. I'd like to see the throw off. Could also have been made by Duplex.
Sometimes these "jobbed out" drums were made with a combination of parts from two different manufacturers. I have a Conn from that era that is a Leedy drum with a Ludwig throw off.
Heres a link to the auction. I figured for 100 bucks it wasn't such a bad gamble. Might actually sound pretty good, even though I'm not so hot on 6 luggers.
