Student models had 6 lugs! That looks like an 8 lugger!!
Are my old eyes playing tricks on me?
What is the shell? Does it have the rapid strainer?
It could be a Hollywood Ace...

Drum definetly has 8 lugs.. Looks like you got something cooler than you thought!!

Hi Guys - David I had a look at this Slingerland snare last night. 8 lugs. Niles, IL badge with serial number 185693. Shell is a warm yellow wood ply - not sure what kind of wood (maple?). Always thought it was a student edition based since my parents got it for me new in 4th grade. Should be from around 1974 or so - I assume it was new when they bought it. Both the drum and hard case look practically new now. If not a student edition - what is it? Many thanks!
