Stripping Paint/Sanding Drums

Loading...

I want to strip the paint off of a birch drum set. I am trying to be careful not to mess up the inside of the drum shell. Can anyone recommend a paint stripper?

Tape any holes on the inside of the shell to prevent drip inside.

From OddBall

Tape any holes on the inside of the shell to prevent drip inside.

and also tape off the unfinished bearing edges. Since they won't be repainted or refinished, you don't want them to have any stains from the stripper.

Thanks! I have never refurbished a drum set and don't want to screw it up.
