Strainer Tension Knob Question

The tensioner (threaded piece with the knob on top) on my strainer keeps unscrewing after I play for a while and makes my snares rattle. I think that the threads must just be worn in really well, but not stripped. What do/would you guys use to make it stop detensioning on its own? Obviously it still needs to be turned easily with fingers only, so locking the threads permanently is not an option.

On my Montineri snare Joe added a small rubber grommet to the threaded rod for the tension of the strainer and it holds just fine...

Check the local hardware store!
