Is a 10 lug steel Stewart indicative of anything of quality?..I cant tell anymore,so i,ll just ask.
Stewart snare drums
i would assume they did'nt make ten lug snares just to use up lugs, are'nt stewart drums star stencils, if its up for grabs at reasnable price i would take a punt on it, might be a good player if not a looker.
I got it for next to nothing, but is it a brass or steel shell from the 60.s?...Its quite heavy.
Send me the pix, Wayne. I to see the badge. If it is a 10 lugger, it may well be a re-iteration from the 80s or 90s, but without seeing it, I can't tell you anything. What lugs does it have? That and the strainer are the tell-tale signs, not the number of lugs or anything else.

At this point it does,nt really matter anymore. This gear is cheap and not worth anythng so why are we concerned with its value.?..Its good gear, but not worthy of attention from the drum snobs,so why bother?
It could be one of those Pearl COS or COB snares. Sometimes the Pearl snares are brass. They sound great. I had a 10 lugger, but it was modern, not one of the 70s models.
