I've been perusing this forum since picking up these Stewart drums locally. It is great to have this information available. I primarily collect old Premiers, but thought I'd venture beyond. It is a 13,16,22 with 14" snare
I am looking to restore this kit and have a few questions:
I have removed the bass drum mount for the tom holder and the original bolt (presumably a wing bolt) is not present. Would this be a metric threaded bolt? Also, is there another part to this assembly that I am missing?

What would this extra mount be, pictured on the bass drum? It looks factory installed. Cowbell mount?

The shells are extremely thin with reinforcement hoops and have distorted at various points. Here is a picture of the snare. Look at the lug on the left side. The tension on the lugs obviously distorted the shell. Also, the floor tom probably should have had a reinforcement hoop in the middle, like the bass drum. It is in round at both edges, but in the middle is shaped like a heptagon. That's right, it has 7 lugs! Is this typical, that the shells distort?

I am looking to date these and from what I can gather the components are a mix of Star and Pearl? I know it is pre-67. Is there any way to narrow down the age.
Lastly, does anyone have a scan of the Stewart bass drum logo? I am going to restore this kit as much as I can.
Thanks very much, in advance,
Comover
