Stewart Copeland Snare

Loading...

Hello all,

Have always wondered what kind of snare Stewart Copeland used in his heyday with the Police, for some reason always assumed he used a Tama snare since those were the only drums he ever used.

But I've read more than once that he actually used a Pearl COB Jupiter snare. Don't know anything at all about these snare drums. First off, are they any good? Are they considered valuable just because Copeland used them?

Haven't been able to find much if any info at all on them, hence this post.

Thanks very much.

Yes it was a Pearl Jupiter COB snare drum. Its actually pretty decent sounding drum, value.....$150ish for a good one.....This was the drum the current Tama Stewart Copeland signature snare is patterned after...the snare of "unknown provinence"...LOL!
