Cool1Ralf! I found it! I knew it was a real Star, even tho it says nothing but "Made In Japan". This is almost the top of the line, and is a copy, a very good copy, of the Slingerland Gene Krupa Radio King. Alas tho my heart is stilled, for brass 'tis not....But it sounds real good. Mine is Model 8256.The throw and butt on this drum are "interpretations" of a Gretsch type strainer system, with both ends adjustable, like the Micro-Sensitive" system. Not a flagrant rip, but a great interperation none the less. Works flawlessly. I have two snares with this set-up on them and I really like it. It took me 3 months to find the real connection, but finally, here it is. Now I can go on with life...on to the next mystery drum from the"Land of the Rising Sun". I am about to acquire the next set, no badge MIJ. I have a perfect match for the snare. I will have to re-wrap it to match, but I see no reason not to. The donor is the "Little Red Rocket". Pray for me, it is a single ply shell, and let's hope the wrap is not super-glued on.Eye Ball
