They may not be good drums but at least they are expensive.

Did he just give up on the restoration? He found his advertising spin points though. We see drums that don't match or an unfinished restoration. He sees this as you getting the best of both worlds. Apparently, we might just want to put the old wrap back on.

Wow. The vintage market is booming in Miami! It is nice to know by those standards, I now own a $5,000 dollar Slingy kit and about $25,000 worth of cymbals!!!!!

What gets me is that the wrap on the floor tom looks to be in pretty good condition as does the rest of the warp, at least what can be seen from the picture. So why would you "restore" these drums by removing it? CryBaby

To show off that awesome Phillipine mahogany of course. (utilize the facetious font here).

No disrespect intended to our MIJ friends.

I'm rich!!!!! I own three mint sets and several pristine snares! Even a cocktail and a marching snare!!! Oh, yeah! Two sets of bongos and a tambourine! I'm getting out of this 'hood as soon as possible! My old Sunfire is history! I'm gonna look good in my new Porche!

Star overpriced....O.K.,but it is true that those sizes are rare. It's a shame he stripped them,as that is a very cool color pearl. And I really like those style lugs. It's hard to justify a price like that on budget, stripped MIJ's.I purchased a 1983 Tama Superstar set, clearly far superior drums,13,14,15,18,24 for the equivalent of around $500(trade-in's etc).Even that price would be high for those Stars. But I'd love to own them....
