Star , Model 8256

Hey, guys,

I have a vintage Star snare drum, model 8256 which I am cleaning up a bit. It has an adjustable butt plate, cool strainer and an internal damper! It is really easy to tune! Much easier than my other snares, including a Ludwig late 70's Supra. Please forgive my blasphemy! Do any of you members play with such an instrument? Any parts for sale? To be honest, I'd really like to try this drum out at a live venue. It sounds great to me! Thanks!

Brian,

I have an old Pearl snare in blue sparkle wrap that I use when I perform with my PureCussion RIMS set because the Pearl sounds good but is relatively quiet. I don’t have any parts for sale though…
