Star Kingbeat snare

Great job, Andrew. These King Beat snare drums are such a pleasure cleaning them up - mine mainly shine just like coming out of the factory again. Such a thankful, wonderful time waster.

You won't even be disappointed playing it. (Caution: you'd better wear ear protecting: it can be so loud ... - as well as it still has a crisp attack while playing it gentle - this depending on the condition of the snare wires.)

Ralf

(NB: screw is, acc. to the track number, on the way to you.)

Thanks Ralf. It's not quite factory gleaming but pretty good. There was a fair bit of rust on those hoops too. The good thing was that it had never been dismantled so apart from the broken muffle switch and the missing dome nut off the end of one of the rails, it was complete. Obviously I had to go and break the plastic screw thing, but in my defence, it was very brittleCooked Egg The wires only have 16 of their original 20 strands but they work (just) for now. I'm hunting for a deal on a replacement set. Apparently Cannon do replacements at a reasonable price.

I'm taking to a rehearsal tonight to try it out.
