Seen this kit in my local classifieds and was wondering what we have here. It looks great, would it sound great? Were they manufactured to a reasonable level. I sent an inquiry to the seller and am hoping for a reply.

Sure - looks like a beauty! There are alot of members on here who have these kits. They are becoming quite collectible and that color sure does look nice on that. The best guys on here to answer specific questions on those are Mikey777 and jonnistix - but you may already know that from reading these forums.
I have 3 Star made kits and think they are great. 1969 was a year they changed the typical ply configuration - ask Mikey777 about that. He will want to know the interiors - if they are painted or not. They will be 3 ply with re-rings or thicker 9 ply or something like that. Specific pics showing the tom and floor leg mounts will help them date it.
Snag it up and get that hardware soaking in some Dawn and H2O for about 48 hours and then brush them up with a toothbrush and those parts will all look brand new!

As most members know, I am a sucker for Star drums. This is a round badge which I personally like. There are some issues. How much are these drums going for? Again, as most members know, I am an idiot with computers. Perhaps, the price was given. Sure, they can be tuned to sing! Patience and a good ear are vital! Please, let me know more, sir.

This wrap (either 'Black diamond pearl' or 'Grey diamond pearl') is not so often seen at these old STAR drums. What's the price?
