STAR Bongos & 14" Crash-Cymbal

Hi all,

as you also could see in my other threads, I´ve been on the hunt a lot lately and got me some more, let´s say "Starabilia" items, as there are a nice pair of Bongos and a 14" Star Stamped Crash-Cymbal.

The Bongos came with the original key in it´s bag, and the overall condition they´re in is nice. Don´t know if they´re 100% original, but to me they seem to be.

The cymbal sounds way better than I expected (or should I say: as I feared?:D). So I decided to integrate it in the set of Paiste cymbals that I purchased - and now use - in combination with my Grey-Shimmer-Stars. Fits perfectly!

Awesome stuff!

Thank you!

Do you know if there are more "Star-Sound" stamped cymbals around here? This was the first I´ve seen, so I had to get it.

Hi, Lissy!

I too am a huge Star fan. Check out SOME of my stuff on the Drum Image Gallery under "Star Drumset in Turquoise Sparkle". Ralf was kind enough to post the pictures for me. Since that time, I have collected quite a bit more.

Hi Brian!

Yes, I already took note of your passion for Stars and also had a look at your very nice pics of some rare birds you´ve got there!

Do you also have Star cymbals or other items except your beautiful drums?

Since I rescued my first Star Bollero from the trash three years ago (whereat I got infected with the VitageDrumBug:)) I purchased another three kits and actually am after another two - it´s just a matter of time ´til I will assimilate them into my collection!

Maybe we should start a thread titled "Show off all your Stars":D

Hey! Your thread idea sounds good, Lissy! Thanks for the compliments about my Stars! Yours are fantastic! I don't have any cymbals but, I have acquired a beautiful set of Supremes and a set of Tempos! Technically, I too have a set of Boleros. I lent my daughter's boyfriend the money to buy a set about two years ago and he still hasn't repaid me. That's what dads are for. It 's great to see and hear about your drums, Lissy! Best of luck in Star hunting!

I have not seen a Star branded cymbal before, so was interested to see your pic. If I ever run across one, I too will be a buyer.

Interesting to read that it is not too bad sounding too....cool
