It's difficult, but here is my proposal from the early beginning 'til the change in name to Tama.
The 'white' (=silver) badges appeared with three different writings: Star (solely), Royal Star and Imperial Star (I've seen that last one on snare drums only). The oval Swing Star came with the latest Star drums and was dedicated for the cheap line only.
