I had a rough day Friday, the day started out normal enough, then around 1 pm, my wife had a Grand Mal seizure. Cathy has a history of seizures, but in my 11 years of knowing her, this is the first time I'd witnessed one of this magnitude. I called EMS and they decided to take her to the emergency room as a precaution. They ran all the test and they were all negative and she was released around 5pm. During the time at the hospital I was in touch with my band mates about canceling the show. When we arrived home I asked Cathy if I should cancel the gig and stay home with her, she said, no way, it's St. Patrick's Day! Well I wasn't about to leave her alone after what had just happened, luckily our next door neighbor who we've known for many years took her to her place and watched her until I arrived home. Cathy has been through three brain operations since the 90's. The last one was in 2008, a few years after we had met. She is the strongest, most fearless woman I'd ever known, I love her dearly.
Here's a picture of my newly aquired Slingerland red satin flame kit at it's first gig. They look and sound fantastic! Everyone loved them, especially this little drummer boy.Keep on Pl
