Really?

sellers description:

Ludwig Speed King bass drum pedal in excellent condition. Smooth and solid pedal, plays very well,

don't think it was played or gigged much. Can handle any single bass drum part in music....

jazz, rock, country and all the above. This pedal is well worth my asking price since everything

I sell on the Internet is automatically worth 10 times the market value. I ain't being phony by

claiming to have refurbished this pedal and reselling it at a higher price. I've done nothing to

improve this pedal, I'm just reselling it for 500% mark up to compete with the "vintage" drum

equipment dealer's status quo. Buy from the public for pennies on the dollar, then do nothing

more than resell it for 50 times it will ever be worth to those gullible enough to think my

price is legit since I'm a "dealer". Ships via UPS only in lower 48 states. Ive adjusted the

freight charge to reflect my self inflated delusional value of the item, it aint cheap to ship

stuff nowdays, and as much as I dread shipping a rare piece such as this across the country,

I have no more room for it here in my 300,000 sq ft facility. Happy Bidding

price: $499.95

shipping: $3999.62

Obviously someone has lost the dots on their dice or they are auditioning for an eBay comedy spot! Party

"Obviously someone has lost the dots on their dice or they are auditioning for an eBay comedy spot!"

This is exactly what the seller is doing! This is merely a "tongue in cheek" posting. It does hit home, in his own personal way, of how too many sellers are getting out of control when selling vintage drums. For myself, I really like the humor of the posting!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Wow. I've got two vintage Speed Kings I'm not using. Now I "know" I should be able to get $1000 for the pair since I've seen it on the internet. If it's on the internet it must be true, right? LoLoLoLo
