Speaking of Replicas...

That's a lot of cabbage for something that has quite a few glaring omissions...

Edit: I guess the Champagne kit didn't have the modified tom arms to hold the kick drums together according to some pics I just perused. But this fellow didn't specify whether or not the drums are the chromed steel over wood shells. I didn't think there were that many chrome over wood Premier shells out in the world.

But still- that's a lot of money for something that has now been rendered as altered and not completely correct... No snare, to boot!!!!

two kicks,

three racks,

three floors,

and a snare =

9

However, I am feeling quite dubious over the fact that the drums are what they are supposed to be. After all, while we don't know the material of Keith's Premier kit, I would be CERTAIN they would all be the same material.

I am going by http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/drums/moondrums.html on the specs...

But the config diagram on the same page shows only nine drums...

Who knows why the newsprint clipping says "10 piece"?

He went nuts on the number of drums after that Champagne kit...

I know exactly Why !! Keith had an extra FT on his left soly for the purpose of holding his drinks !! He did this with all his live kits !!

Another thing most people don`t know is that after his silver kit, his recording drums always had Roto toms off to the side !! (with blue heads !!) You can see them here !! The heads look played often !! The shadow shows the rack mount and the other ones below them !!

Some people claim those are timbals but I think they look like Roto toms. His timbals were Copper, and I think 14" and 12" !!
