Spartacus

The working title while making this kit was "Spartacus" (because of the looks and the spartian design with the single tension lugs). This set consists of European marching drums, that I transformed into hybrid drums (metal glued around thick re-rings) to be able to run modern (inch-sized) heads on them.

I like the looks of this kit best with one floor tom. The second floortom may be a nice optional bop bass drum.

All drums (except the second floor tom) look very old and battered (I didn't polish them on purpose), but are technically 100% sound (in round/flat/smooth bearing edges).

It sounds loud/punchy but also resonates strongly. I post a link to a vdeo/soundfile later.
