Take a look over at the sonormuseum.com

I think, and I may be wrong, but I think the Performer snares are ferro manganese.. same as the upper line shells with less hardware...

I'd say a big yes! They were made in Germany..

Performers are what I call an entry level Phonic. They differ in the guage of materials, amount of hardware, no snap-lock, non sensitive snare, but they were made in Sonor`s factory not MIT.

That snare is Ferro. but has eight lugs, and basic throw, non adjustable butt, and I don`t think it`s spun like the D506 it resembles !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
