Does anyone know what the production period was in the manufacturing of these snares? I know they started in 1987 but was it for 5 yrs. or 10 yrs. in production? Sonor knowledge please and thanks in advance.

I would ask over at the sonormuseum.com They would know. There wasn't a whole lot of them made, something around 200. Glad I bought mine when I did.. Wish I would have bought a phonic set...

Sorry I can't help. Just wanted to say that it's a really nice snare I wish I had, but I have it's little brother instead; the HLD-588
