Sonor HLD 580 Snare

Loading...

I have a Sonor Signature Series Snare HLD 580 (RH), and I'm trying to find out what it is worth. Let me know what you think. I've attached pics. Any info or offers would be appreciated. My dad put the cotton balls in it a long time ago. I'm about to put new heads on it, and will remove the cotton balls when I do so. I'll update photos as I clean it up better. I only want to get rid of it because I'm going to be moving out of the US soon and I have to sell all my stuff. :(

Google "Sonormuseum". A forum dedicated to Sonor drums. Those guys are a great resource.

Ha ha! $50! I almost choked on a mint!

I'll check out that Sonormuseum site. Thanks.

Any suggestions for the new head? I'm thinking of a clear one so you can see the inside of the drum because it's pretty too.

Hi!

If you look on the "For sale" page and search the "Any Sonor Signature collectors out there?"-thread, you can see that I sold the "sisters" of your snare: one HLD 588 (steel-shell) and one HLD 590 (bellbrass) with matching stand, both 14"x8".

Ralf, who is a very kind member of this forum, gave me the advice to contact Uwe Ockunik (the founder of the german sonor signature site). He knew a drummer who gave me 900,- Euros for all stuff - just don´t know how much this is in US-Dollars.

And I don´t know, if you find a customer for your drum in Germany, if the shipping might just be as expensive as your snare?

Hope I could help you, although prices in the US might be different from European...

Greets, Jürgen

BTW, the stays on the parallel lever´s bottom are not mounted correctly. The bending has to go outwards, not down.

Jazz is not dead - it just smells funny! FZ

Cool. That's what I thought you meant. I don't know why it was on that way? I'll post pics of it as I clean it up. I'm going to get new heads for it today.

I have not seen any below the €600 (that's about $840) mark here in Holland.

I have an HLD 588 I bought for €450 and only because it wasn't in great shape and I was lucky to find it. The 588 also go for around the same price €600 to €700.

I put an Evans clear Reverse Center Reverse Dot (silver dot also), it just looks awesome on that snare.

I hope this helps a bit.
