Hilites were the predecessors to the Delite (which were considerably thinner, and which were subsequently replaced by the Prolite. Sonor is a little unique among drum companies in that they change model lines every five or so years).
Anyway, the Hilites were made in the early nineties, and featured a 6.5 mm, nine-ply maple shell with isolated hardware (gaskets). You're right that most examples are in in "power sizes", exceptions being the Nussbaum kit, which was available in "traditional" (what we'd nowadays call "vintage") sizes.
Being that I'm a Sonor guy myself I'm a bit biased on the subject, but suffice to say that these are very well-made, great-sounding drums that you'll be quite happy with.
