I saw these on cl, Sonor Force Custom, all maple, made in Germany. Any good?

Mark, I got this off the pearl drum forum.
Force Customs are a 1990s era kit with a hybrid shell of Maple/Luan. They are of decent quality, but I believe they were in that early round of Asian made Sonors-the hardware is all Asian, the shells may still be German, but not likely with the Luan ingredient in the shell recipe. They were an entry level drum in the Sonor line, which would translate into an upper entry level/lower midline drum compared to everyone else.
I would compare them mostly to Force 2003 with slight leanings to the 3003.
I don't mind having a budget kit if it looks and sounds good, but don't want to pay too much, do you think $450 is reasonable?
Mark. my main gripe with Sonor drums is the stupid 18" length bass drums. I've owned two Sonor kits, Both kits had 18" length bass drums, That's why I don't own either of them now. Get the guy down a hundred bucks.
Give it a try, You can always sale it.
I like em they come with a snare and they look in good shape. handy sizes too.
Too bad you have to replace the front head (it has a hole in it.
