Sonor geeks - help!

Loading...

For sale in my locale for what seems like a really good price...

I wasn't even sure the drums were Sonors until I noticed the yinyang drumsticks logo in the lugs. They look to be minty, but missing the front BD hoop, claws and Ts.

How hard would it be to find the missing BD hardware, and what do you all think this kit is worth?

I believe those lugs were used on the "Swinger", "Action" and other entry-level models from Sonor in the 1970s. If so, those lugs are plastic. You can portably get more accurate info on the Sonormuseum site where you can do a search for Swinger and look at back catalogs.

If you make a post in the forum section of Sonormuseum you will certainly get a very well informed answer.

The drums in your pics do look like Sonors. The shells are European beech and are very good.

Yes, I think without a doubt they are Swingers. How the hell have plastic lugs managed to survive 40 years?

I think I'm going to pass on this one. If anyone's interested in buying this kit, PM me and I can broker the deal for you.

Doesn't Ludwig lugs fit same holes?

I had a set of those years ago...and I recall that they did.....

If Ludwig lugs fit those holes, that would be a very sweet hybrid kit to create! If I had the Ludwig parts to do it just kicking around, I would try it. This kit is selling really cheap for the condition it's in.
