These are in an auction here - start price US$130. May be quite useful in a studio? Limited application for sure. Anyone regognise the brand?

As far as I know, Nikkan was founded in 1892 in Tokyo, Asakusa. Nikkan had corroborated with Yamaha from 1937 to make musical instruments. At that age, Yamaha had materially controlled Nikkan because they invested to Nikkan as well. Yamaha officially merged with Nikkan in 1970. However, Nikkan brand name had been used more than 10 years after that because there were many fans for Nikkan brand. FYI
