How much is this Buddy Rich set valued at. I'm curious. I know it sold for pretty high. But I want to know what a good price would be for this.

Well DB I'm feeling a little bold today.

I personally would budget about $800 - 1500

for a beauty like this.

As a lovely historical piece I've seen these

go for more.

A lot more to the those with the

desire and means.

Ross Garfield and Jay Bellarose come to mind.

The spring legs, "Classic" throw ( a turkey IMHO )

and rail consolette mount make this a very

dated set-up from a practical point of view.

With some careful upgrades this set would seriously

rock my world.

Check out J.I. Allison with Buddy Holly on the Ed Sullivan Show.

For the record that's a paradiddle...

Where do you think I could find parts for it. I might contact the guy who purchased it.

Does he have the snares off on this.......on the really older cuts the snare drums always sound very much like toms. Once the late 60's hit the snare sound certainly got alot brighter..
