IMHO - DO NOT cut that wrap off....even if it is yellowed. I clicked on there, expecting some crappy 70s to 80s black or red piece of crap with those ugly Pearl lugs.....when the photo popped up I literally said wwwwooooaaahhhh! Those are BEAUTIFUL!

I agree, leave the wrap on...Polish the wrap with some Novus and you`ll be surprised how good they will look, eh!!

Do they have bearing edges? The Winston (and a Stewart) toms i have originally came with flat edges, with an outside round over of about 2mm
