True Story Time:

I was so knocked out by Michael Derosier that I bought two sets of tickets when they came to Houston. I had a set up front and another set in the back, right above Michael. It was an amazing show. I watched his foot massage and attack that pedal all night. It's going to sound bad, but I had a date that was ignored the entire show. I don't think she "got" what that night was all about. I was there to study a drummer. She wasn't. High School dates. Oh well. That was the last time I EVER took a date to a show........until I got married. My wife "gets" what drumming is to me.

nice playing! Anyone know what kind of cymbals he was playing there? The "Crazy on You" set looks curiously Bonham-esqe ??

I'm pretty sure they were early Paiste 2002 series......and yes Michael was heavily influenced by Bonham.....but so were a lot of guys back then.....and still are now! (myself included)

I thought they sounded like Bonhams crashes thanks! Do you know what sizes and kind of kits Bonham played growing up?

Growing up, like before he made it big? Not sure, never researched that before. To be honest GiantBeater might be a better authority on that subject as I never researched pre-Zeppelin days......

Never got a good look at the snare drum in the videos bu it sounds like 6.5" x 14 Supra to me. Can anyone confirm that?
