That is a good price. I inquired about the snare shell. Mainly because with no hardware it shouldn't be expensive to ship, and I want the snare for my jellybean kit,lol

But for $650 that's a steal. If that kit didn't have the cracks, it could easily be 2-3 times that amount,no? I know a few colors are harder to find than others, but they made so many I always forget which ones aside the patterns.

I think I sold a 15" green vistalite for that much.

The little map that pops up shows that the drums are three streets down from the road I live on!!

But the pictures are in a drum shop, and there arent any drum shops in my area....

It's a definite steal ! If that kit were here in my hometown, it would've been sitting in my gear room by now ;) It is also one of the more rare vistalite colors because it wasn't a popular vistalite color at the time, but it certainly is now .. And i can't believe that nobody snagged it up yet !

Heard back about the snare shell. He wants to keep it with the kit, but if it doesn't sell he said he'll get in touch with me. I would love to get the whole kit, but I know shipping wouldn't make it as much of a deal, lol. I have always wanted a green vistalite kit, a monster one.

Cool ! I hope you get it ! ;). Shipping vistalites can always be tricky and of course, scary, because they can easily be damaged.. On a side note, i just found this beater kit on my local classifieds, and from what i can see and tell from the pics, there are some Ludwig drums worth getting. I see what could very well be a 70's b/o tom with clear interiors and re-rings, and a bass drum with Ludcoat interior, both missing resonant hoops and lugs. I emailed the seller and asked if

both the tom and kick were the same Ludwig "brand", and if they were, that i'd offer him $50 for both simply because of all the missing hardware and parts, that of which i have anyway.. We'll see what he says.

So, the seller refused to sell me both drums and failed to answer my questions regarding the rack tom. He also asked me what was missing on the drums, because as he sees it, the drum is complete. So i'm obviously dealing with someone who is ignorant, although probably through no fault of their own, and who refused my offer. I passed on it and wished him luck with the sale. It's been up there for more than a month, and will no doubt be up there for a lot longer. He also claims that he doesn't mind not selling it.. But , hey, it's his choice and it's a free country ;)

It's just too bad for me because it would've made a great project.

C'est la vie, as we say ;)
