Some help with an old premier snare

Loading...

Hi, this is my first post on these forums, so i apologize if this is the wrong section to be posting in.

I recently bought an old premier olympic snare, ive been told its late 1930's, and i believe is nickel plated rolled steel, though i cant be sure. The drum has no conventional badge, rather the premier logo is engraved on the side of the drum, and on the snare mechanism, and has 6 tube style lugs, with slotted heads.

The snare is slightly smaller than a standard 14", around 13.5".

Basically i am just looking for more information on it, and how rare or valuable it is. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to old snares, and any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

For some reason i cant get the images to upload to here so I've posted them on imageshack instead, link below:

if you need any more pictures i can upload them
