So new,. So drum dumb Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello All,

I am in the process of settling my parents estate. I have an old WFL drum set in near mint condition that none of the heirs want. I am trying to find out more info on the set so I can sell it at a fair price for the heirs. I realize pictures would help but none are available at this time.

I also have the catolog but it is missing the front cover and there are no dates inside

Looking thru the catolog I believe the set is either the " NEW Porta-Pak set " which is shown on page 5 or the " Travelers " Outfit on page 4.The set is in a white marine pearl finish and consists of the snare drum W/18 strand snappi wire attached, bass drum with attached muffler, snare drum stand, twin spring Speed King foot pedal W/beater ball, tilting cymbal holder, bell holder, 2 brush sticksand a wooden block with holder. There are no cymbals or a tom tom although the bass has a tom tom holder and a cow bell holder. There are absolutly no serial numbers inside or outside of the set. My Dad gave this set to my mom way back and she played with it maybe a year. It the basement since then. NO discolorization, rust or other damage. The set needs a cleaning but I haven't a clue on the proper methods. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Warm Regards,

Ron

What is the color and drum sizes David

David, The color is Marine Pearl. The sizes I'm not sure about because I'm not sure the proper way to measure them. I am so novice at this.

The snare is 5 1/2 x 14

The bass is 14 x 22

The finish is white marine pearl

The spurs on the bass are the retractable type. they do not fold

there are no serial numbers either of the drums.

Although I do not have the front cover of the catalog, page 1 describes the front cover as a view of the new modern four story factory.

The sizes of the snare and bass are consistent with the Buddy Rich Super Classic or the Ray Bauduc swing outfit, although pictures of both of those show folding spurs.

Thanks again fot the time

Ron
